Compression sleeves?

Rosana Kooymans

I'm a Dutch designer and artist. I run 2 Etsy shops. On Rosana Kooymans: Art & Design I mostly sell Freezer Bunny plushies and hand drawn illustrations. And on Retro Hugs I sell planner and craft supplies.

I'm crazy about my Filofax and Carpe Diem planners, and I also create custom inserts and stickers for planners.

In my spare time you can find me gaming/creating on SNW. I stream twice a week on Twitch.

I love my geeky hubby and our 3 creative, geeky sons!

On this blog you can find some of my crafty projects (including handmade cards), illustrations, design projects, photography, family life and my health journey. I record the occasional video too, and plan on recording more crafty and planning videos soon. So keep an eye on my blog.

I didn't even know this existed, compression (arm) sleeves. I also have lipedema in both arms and would really like to do something about it. I can't do much about it. But I have been thinking about this. After all, I got compression stockings for my legs, and I kept wondering, that when I got the new compression pantyhose, if I could ask them to take my compression stockings and make those smaller so I could use them for my arms.

Last week I visited the Kousenzorg (compression garment contact person) and I just asked about this, kinda unsure but I had to know. I was afraid they would laugh (I had no idea there were compression arm sleeves!) but they didn't laugh. In fact they thought it was a pretty good question. And they showed me some examples.

Obviously I need to have the okay from my dermatologist. So we needed to make an appointment there. And we did. The dermatologist approved it so now I have to go back and make an appointment at the Kousenzorg. I hope I can have the sleeves in a couple of weeks!
